Dr. N. K. Aggarwal to attend SIGN international conference
Sign is an international organization helping poor patients in poor countries across the world. SIGN supplies free interlocking nails which are made in America and are FDA approved, to more than 50 centers around the world. It believes that many patients cannot afford good quality implants therefore they cannot get good treatment. SIGN is a boon for such patients. Institute of Orthopaedics and Super Speciality Trauma Centre at Gurdev Hospital is the only centre in North India recognized by SIGN for supplying their implants for use in poor and deserving patients. Many poor patients have benefited from this collaboration between IOSTC, Gurdev Hospital and SIGN. Dr. N. K. Aggarwal Director IOSTC is the only Orthopedic Surgeon from India who is going to attend the conference in Washington. He will be giving four talks at this Conference on 18 September, 2004. Hopefully this association will bring more and more benefits to poor patients of this region and will also contribute towards advancement of Orthopaedic science.
